Founded in 1985, The Stitchery is a full-service quilting shop located in Howell, MI. Our goal at The Stitchery is to make sure our customers find everything they need for their projects – whether that means fabric for a quilt, a new pattern, or even a sewing machine!
Susan Reid purchased The Stitchery from it’s original owners in the early 1990’s, with the help of her sister Barbara Pinneo, as well as their knowledgable, friendly sales staff and instructors, “The Stitchery Sisters” have received Janome’s Outstanding Achievement Award every year since 1997.
After many years of hard work, Sue and Barb were ready to retire, and began the process of closing down the shop. In October of 2018, The Stitchery was purchased by Brenda Ratliff (owner of Pink Castle Fabrics in Ann Arbor, MI). Brenda’s focus has been to restock the shelves with more Batik, Traditional, and Civil War fabrics, to fill up the class schedule, and to make sure all of our basics and notions are available.
The Stitchery is an authorized Janome and Elna Sewing machine Dealership, servicing all of Livingston County and surrounding areas.
